About Robert K. Hunt, M.D., D.D.S.

Dr. Hunt grew up in the Atlanta area and has both a D.D.S. degree and an M.D. degree.  He received the former from the Baylor College of Dentistry in 1985 and the latter from the University of Alabama in 1994.

Dr. Hunt is also a Georgia Tech graduate, and went through a full-scope, four-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the Medical College of Georgia, finishing in 1989.  He later completed a one-year general surgery internship in Spartanburg, South Carolina in 1995, and a fellowship in cosmetic surgery in Little Rock Arkansas in 1996.

He is board certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  He has been practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery since 1985 and cosmetic surgery since 1995.  He is also an examiner with the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. Hunt is on staff at WellStar Paulding Memorial Hospital and Emory Adventist Hospital in Smyrna.

Riverside Oral and Facial Surgery is a full-scope oral, maxillofacial and facial cosmetic surgery practice located in Rome, Georgia.  The practice, although new under the Riverside name, has been in the Rome area for approximately five years.  We have recently moved our practice to a new location in Riverside Professional Park by the Rome Braves stadium.  A map and driving directions to our new office can be found here.

Our staff is very well-trained in all aspects of oral and facial surgery.  From the hospitality and thoroughness of the front desk to the reassuring manner and professionalism of the back staff of surgical assistants, we will try to make your experience a pleasant and non-threatening one.  We are here to meet your surgical needs and work closely with your referring doctors, and to keep thorough and complete lines of communication both with you and your referring doctors.  All of our staff are CPR certified; Dr. Hunt is certified in CPR, advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support.  Our equipment and our facilities are complete and current.  Both Dr. Hunt and his staff look forward to meeting you and making your visits at our office the best they could possibly be.
